Members of the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department have announced they will be launching two smartphone applications. These applications are designed to allow the department to better serve those who live, work and play in areas served by the ICSD.
The first is something called VINEMobile. This is a smart-phone enhanced version of the online VINELink website. The application will allow victims of crime to monitor the status of the person who attacked them. Those interested in using the service will need to register through the VINELink website. Once this step is complete they can request notification updates be sent to them by email or text message. A spokesperson for the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department said this can be important in providing additional piece of mind to crime victims.
The second application is called MobilePatrol. MobilePatrol provides users important contact information at their fingertips. It will list numbers for the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department headquarters and will provide information on various substations. In addition, the application will provide a list of the county’s most wanted persons.
The applications are reportedly now available through iTunes and GooglePlay. There is no cost to download VINEMobile or MobilePatrol. For more information visit the ICSD website.
